Shawn DeVars Amos is a writer, Literacy Coach, and 15-year veteran English teacher for Hillsborough County Public Schools in Tampa, Florida. She brings a daunting amount of energy and enthusiasm to sharing her love of language with faculty and students. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in English Literature and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Creative Writing from Saint Leo University. She is a member of the Florida Writers Association, writes and shares various and sundry things on her literary blog bookwormshawn.com, and manages spoken word poetry and book club events for students, faculty, staff, and parents. She lives with her husband and children in Tampa, Florida.
